Hi, I’m Pat Huelskamp, and have been working at the Poplar Springs Charge office since September 2003.  Since being here I’ve had the opportunity to work with two wonderful Pastors and have found the church members to be warm and welcoming.  I was born in Philadelphia and went to school there.  My husband and I transferred from the Philadelphia area to Baltimore in 1967 for him to begin work at the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn.  When my children grew older, I returned to work as a secretary at Social Security until I retired in July 1999.   My husband and I moved to the Woodbine area in late 1998.  After his death in 2001, I continued to live in Woodbine until this past year when I relocated to nearby Marriottsville into a new senior housing development.   My four children and five grandchildren keep me busy babysitting and helping out with many family activities.   Also, biking is one of my favorite outdoor activities and I am a member of the Baltimore Cycling Seniors.   Swimming at a nearby gym has become another one of my passions, and I find myself trying to get to the pool a few times a week.  I am blessed with having wonderful friends and family and am grateful for the opportunity to be able to enjoy the activities I’ve mentioned above.

Memory Verse of the Month

(From Peter’s Pentecost Sermon – Acts 2:38)

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ because of the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
